Spring is here which means spring break and summer vacation plans. Look no further than the summer-inspired lookbook I am sharing in today’s post. I am sharing what I wore on my recent tropical getaway and also including a few more options to help you decide on your vacation wardrobe. Keep reading for more details.
Maxi Dress/Kaftan
A maxi dress is a must-have in my opinion when heading somewhere tropical. My neon (one of the colors for spring/summer) maxi is by SemSem. I scored it on sale, my color is currently sold out but you can find other colors HERE.
Opt for a statement maxi like this one by Taller Marmo. Kaftans also I am also sharing a few other maxi dresses at various price points below.
Midi Dress
What I love about midi dresses is that, unlike maxis, you can make a statement without risking your outfit being ruined. I love Maxis but I won’t say I enjoy that aspect. I love midi dresses also because they’re great transition pieces for fall and even winter. I love this AFRM one, especially cos of the fun print! I love that it is layered and well-priced. Right under $100. Sharing a few other options below.
Evening Dress
Day dresses are for daytime and when nighttime comes, switching to a nighttime appropriate outfit is essential. I am sharing two items I recently packed on a tropical vacation that would be perfect. First, this gorgeous dress by Ladyee Boutique is sexy and classy at the same time. Priced just under $100 too. I also love this sexy number by Solace which also comes in red.
Swimwear/Statement Coverup
Whether you’re team one-piece or team bikini we can all agree that packing multiple swimwear is essential for any tropical getaway. I believe your coverup is just as important and I am sharing a few of my favorites. My gorgeous coverup is by Ade by Femi a contemporary brand based in the Atlanta area which specializes in creating unique embellished designs. They just do sequins so well! My swimsuit is by Andrea Iyamah and it’s currently on sale. See below for other swimwear options.
Jumpsuits/Rompers
I am usually team romper but I am always here for a jumpsuit moment on a tropical vacay. Below are some of my fave ones that I would pack on a trip.
Slides/Sandals
I am a slides girl, designer slides to be exact, the Oran by Hermes is one of my faves. I know they sometimes get a bad rep due to the fact that they’re narrow. I have narrow feet so I have no issues with them. Would not recommend them if you have wide feet. Go with the Chypre sandals instead. I also love the Valentino Vlogo slides. I also included in my roundup Birkenstocks and Melissa slides.
Straw bag/Tote
A straw bag/tote to me is another tropical vacay essential. I love my Jacquemus Le Panier tote. Sharing a few others at various price points.
Sunglasses
Is your vacation really complete without sunglasses? My favorite new sunnies are from Dior. I also shared this pair by The Attico. Below are a few I am loving.
