Hi and thanks for stopping by my blog. As I mentioned recently, I went on a vacation to the UK and Barcelona recently. I am sharing a few pictures from my Barcelona trip today. I was born in London and lived there for a bit after high school. My trips to the UK usually is for eating (nothing like a British breakfast and I am addicted to the Chinese food there, lol) shopping and seeing friends and family. This trip was no exception except that I also had a wedding to attend were I wore this dress.
Barcelona was my first solo trip with my husband since having my now 2 year old daughter. It was nice to have one on one time and explore a new city with my favorite travel buddy🙂 I got lazy on this trip and didn’t take as much pictures as I would have loved to. Barcelona is a beautiful city and definitely one of my favorite European cities. I was in awe of the amazing architecture, its history, it simply has so much character from the little shops to the high rises, I am yet to visit a city that impressed me this much and I have been to a few places. The food was AMAZING and since the Euro is down, its a good time for an American in Barcelona.
It definitely is an easy city to explore with the use of trains, buses and the cab fares are pretty reasonable. The bus tour is definitely worth it,perfect way to see the attractions. I wished I packed a pair of sneakers though because there is so much to see just by walking.I stayed in the city center on one of the popular streets called Rambla de Cataluna. Its a walking distance to some attractions and shops, so it was a perfect spot. I could go on and on about my trip, but I wont, LOL. It is definitely a foodie haven. I loved that most people spoke English and menu options everywhere also in English, so you don’t have to understand a word of Spanish to enjoy Barcelona. I went towards the end of August (less tourist) so there wasn’t a lot of lines at various attractions. I would definitely visit again and take the kids next time and spend longer than 4 days.
