After the long summer break, it’s sometimes hard to get back into school routine and rules and one thing my kids struggle with is the new restricted screen time. They go from having it all the time to having only limited access on weekends and finding new things and productive things to do with that time could be a challenge. If you’re like me mommas, today’s post is for you. Walmart to the rescue ladies!
On my recent visit to Walmart, I picked up guilt-free toys that I didn’t mind my kids spending time on. Board games are a great idea because it not only stimulates their brains but also it can be a bonding experience for you and your kid(s.)
We now have a few favorites in our house, junior scrabble is one of them. I grew up playing a number of board games with my parents, so it warms my heart that I can do the same with my kids. Not into board games, why not pick up puzzles online or during your next trip to Walmart.
I’ll have to admit that it also stimulates my brain. With all the time I spend in front of a screen between my phone and computer #adulting it is so refreshing to do something simple yet so fun! My daughter loved the LOL Surprise puzzle I picked up. The perfect combo of guilt-free toys fun/ learning time. I am winning this parenting thing in this aspect for sure, lol.
