Pressure, that’s what today’s blog post is all about. We all face it daily and now more than ever as my plate stays full between life’s obligations. Remember when we were kids and adulting looked so glamorous, I laugh at the thought of that now. It’s been a while since I shared a personal post, so here is one that speaks to me and I hope you take away something from it.
How do you handle Pressure? The good kind and the not so good one. I won’t sit here and sugar coat sh*t. It’s not one of those posts, sometimes I get anxious thinking of all the stuff I have to do and what I want out of life and honestly it feels like the clock is moving faster than me which is why I need reminders to calm my spirit, soul, and body. It’s okay to breathe, it’s okay to take that extra 5mins to enjoy ur coffee or savor that drink or chat a lil longer on the phone or maybe it’s even 2 extra mins in the shower.
While I would love to drop everything and escape on a vacay when the pressure gets to me, it is just not realistic. Adulting is hard and vacations are only temporary so instead of putting a bandage over it here are 5 practical ways to go head to head and handle Pressure.

5 practical ways to handle Pressure
Journaling
Journaling- put ur thoughts on paper and it’s not just what females do. I encouraged my husband to do just that and even though he didn’t start journaling till a group he was a part of mentioned it benefits LOL (imagine!) but I see what’s it’s done for him. Starting his day that way truly has changed how he takes on each day. I have been journaling for a few years now and I have gotten to the point where it’s my outlet. I write my prayers, my wishes, and dreams and pour out my soul. It truly is freeing!
Praying & meditation (vacation for your brain)
Praying and meditation does the soul good, as a Christian prayer is a big part of my life. Speaking my thoughts and talking to God is a big part of how I handle Pressure. Finding time to quiet my mind in meditation even if it’s for a minute has made a difference in how I handle Pressure.
Speaking out loud to myself
Call me crazy but it works, lol. I talk to myself often. Sometimes it’s simple words of affirmation and sometimes it’s words to calm me down or process things.
Catching up with friends
I have this saying, a lil tea doesn’t hurt anybody lol. I am not advocating gossiping but I am all for good ol’ catching up and being silly. I am thankful I have friends that I can be silly with and just let my air down around. It does good for the soul.
Talking to someone
Last on my list, is never ruling out talking to someone. There is no shame in seeking help from professionals. Don’t ever let what others think prevent you from getting the help you need.

You made some great points especially with seeking help if its needed… I need to journal more, i do it but not as often as i should! Prayer and meditation and catching up with friends is a definite for me , I couldn’t agree more!
Thanks Miss! Yes try journaling it’s so amazing.
