How do you view/see vulnerability? We all know the definition of Vulnerability, which according to the dictionary means susceptible to physical or emotional attack or harm. Some synonym that describes it include in danger, in peril, in jeopardy, at risk, endangered, unsafe, unprotected, ill-protected, unguarded. Being vulnerable is no different, it is mostly seen as a weakness but I see it as a strength. In most relationships, it can be a difference maker.

Being in this space and sharing PERSONAL posts is quote “being vulnerable” and to be honest with you I get the most engagement on my blog when I share personal posts. I still got a DM on Instagram from the birthday post I shared last December.

My outfit details
I am wearing this beautiful suit by Topshop, which I recently purchased in-store. It is sold as separates so you pick both or just settle for one. I paired the suit with this organza polka dot shirt from Zara. HERE is a similar style for less. I decided to go for a more casual look by pairing with my Chuck Taylor sneakers. I switched to my Malone Souliers mules when I ate at Laduree in Soho. I highly recommend this pair of mules. They are super comfortable and fab statement shoes. Hairpins are all in the range now and I love this Kitsch option that says GLAM. They have other HERE.

Sizing
My suit runs true to size. I am wearing the pants and blazer in a size 6 my regular size at Topshop. I am usually a US 4, but I always size up when I shop at stores like Topshop and ASOS.

Since the idea of this post is to be transparent/ honest, I’ll have to admit that I still struggle with being more real here and while I do share personal posts
“I am not as open as I would love to be in terms of sharing my opinions and standing up more for what I believe me(I am an introvert.) I am still trying to navigate and have a voice without letting fear hold me back. The goal is to share future posts and captions on social where I am COMFORTABLE being myself.

I know being vulnerable has put me in positions that I regret now but that isn’t going to stop me for being that way especially with people I care about. Personal relationships aside, vulnerability in my line of work has meant, reaching out to the bloggers I admire, being honest with bloggers who have reached out to me and putting myself out there and emailing brands, etc. I have had mostly great experiences, so if you’re someone who has the fear of putting yourself out there, I strongly encourage you do just do it! What’s the worse that could happen?

Thank you so much for reading! Stay tuned for more and don’t forget to SUBSCRIBE to the blog.

This suits look great on you, the colour is prefect on your skin tone! also, I will always remain grateful for your support in my early days….I adore your authenticity!
I have been more open than most on my blog – to the point where the minute something is off, my readers know. I’m now trying to be open, transparent but also private, if that makes sense. I can share my thoughts and opinions (and even feelings) but I don’t necessarily need to go into extreme detail about every area of my life.
I love the shirt in this post BTW.

Love the suit.
I’ve been struggling with vulnerability as well but it’s human nature to be vulnerable in whatever way that you define it. I think we’re always growing so we should also be vulnerable in our growth and share those experiences.
Hey TiTi! I’m new here! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on vulnerability. I think the reason why engagement is higher on more personal posts is because subconsciously we’re all looking to not feel alone. If being open allows others to feel more human, we’re doing the right thing!
Also, shout out to being a fellow introvert!
Thanks Ronique for stopping by 😀 You’re so right, I think so too. I haven’t shared a personal post in a while and this just motivated me to do just that.
