Hi, how are you? TGIF, I am ending the week by sharing one of the Omoge Creations outfits I wore while in Havana, Cuba. Omoge Creations is a ready-to-wear African design house started by my younger sister who resides in Lagos, Nigeria. You can contact her via Instagram or leave a comment below if you would like this dress ‘cos before you know it Spring will be here! Speaking of the New Year, I am currently experiencing the New Year blues, not even sure if that is even a thing lol but keep reading to see what I am talking about.
Before I continue, thanks to everyone who completed my short survey on my New Year’s post, if you haven’t, HERE you go and thanks in advance:-) I spent the better part of the last few days leading up to the New Year finalizing my plans for 2018 but after the midnight celebration (mine was pretty low key actually) and I woke up in the morning, I sat in my bed for a good few hours evaluating all the things that didn’t quite work out in 2017 from things in my business to my personal relationships. Yeah, kinda depressing, lol. In between all of that I also found myself taking notes on things that might not change and how I plan to react to them. Don’t get me wrong I am thankful for everything I have got and I am optimistic about the New Year but I am also feeling kinda blah about it too.
I have worn a number of gorgeous pieces by my sister; you can see all of them HERE. She specializes in mixing our local fabric Ankara with other fabrics and prints such as velvet and striped cotton. Some of the prints might be sold out now but all the items are still available for purchase. Don’t forget to leave me a message if you want to purchase one.
Honestly, a part of me secretly wishes I could just wave a magic wand and put a check mark next to all my goals for 2018 but we all know that only happens in the movies. Till I feel different about things, I will just keep my focus on crossing items off my To-do-list and stay focus on my goals and maybe soon enough my mind kinda catches up with things or maybe I just need a vacation or time alone to clear my head or maybe it’s this depressing winter lol. Do you ever feel this way? What have you tried and what has worked? Leave me a message or send me an email.
My shoes are an old purchase from Stuart Weitzman. You can purchase my gifted Henri Bendel bag HERE and my Baublebar earrings which goes with everything HERE.
Thank you for reading and I hope you have a fantastic weekend. If you are subscribing yet, sign up now so you don’t miss any of my posts. I have a lot planned for 2018.

I am interested in this dress. I am currently in Accra, Ghana but based in the US. Are any of her pieces in Ghana? If not is there shipping to the US and if so what is cost (price of dress and shipping in total). I can be reached at Aampadu@gmail.com (my name is Akua). Thanks!
I can relate to this feeling. It might be the pressure of having goals and wanting to meet them and at the same time feeling overwhelmed because they seem enormous. How do I overcome it? I chunk my goals into quarters so they don’t get overwhelming and I can cross things off my list quicker than the end of the year?
the dress is lovely and the pattern too 🙂
Love this dress and definetly want it .
