Put your best leg forward this Summer in a stylish Romper

Happy unofficial first day of Summer!

Today is Memorial day and in the United States, Summer has unofficially began and I kicking things off in a striped romper by Ladyee Boutique. I am trying something new this Summer and sharing useful tips that have nothing to do with Fashion in my posts.Today I am talking legs, I am not a certified trainer, just a gal sharing what has worked for me. How do you put your best leg forward this Summer, after all it’s that time of the year? Keep reading to find out more.

How you put your best leg forward this Summer

Start walking

It is the easiest way to get your gams Summer ready. I am not talking slow walks though, brisk or power walks would be more effective. It is also a way to try and see if running is something you might enjoy in the near future.

Go running

I know some people just feel they can never get into this, but honestly I felt like this for years. I have a bad knee from my first pregnancy and was in Physical Therapy for almost 1 year. Running actually has helped with my bad knee, stronger legs mean less stress on the knee. I am more of an outdoor runner (I don’t like the treadmill) I enjoy being outdoors and it is a distraction for me when I am running. Run in the early mornings or closer to sunset. I run a few miles (average of 2.5 miles on every run, 3 times a week.) 

Do you Squat?

Squatting works ladies! While I don’t particularly LOVE them lol they make a huge difference and honestly you can squat anywhere. While watching your favorite show or on a call with your best pal. Do it while distracted, it helps trust me:-)

Yoga, Yoga, Yoga

Yoga isn’t as hard as some might think and anyone in any level of fitness can start this. You tube is a great resource for this if you find it intimidating and don’t want to try classes. I love hippe_heathen, she is dope! 


I haven’t taken Pilates classes in years but I know it is an amazing form of exercise to build a stronger body, legs included.
