Lace Illusion Cocktail and Party Dress

Thank you for stopping by the blog today, I have great news to share with you. There are going to be some changes over the next few weeks on the blog. Tuesday is going to be my new day for fashion posts. Expect more detailed posts with information on the latest trends, how to’s and multiple ways to wearing an outfit. Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss out on any of my posts. I am sharing not just one but two looks in today’s post to show how I am wearing lace this summer. Orange is a huge color this summer, so add this gorgeous hue to your closet.

Lace illusion was very present on the runways during the Spring/summer 2016 Fashion shows so I  was happy to see that a lot of retailers created designs using this trend. While it was around last Spring, I found more quality, affordable and gorgeous  pieces this year. I wore a LBD last month which was affordable and embodies this trend. My black lace dress is by contemporary Fashion boutique Ladyee and my orange lace dress is by Just Me purchased in Bloomingdales. Both are available for well under $100.

Styling tip

Shapewear goes a long way with this design. A shorter length shapewear similar to this can be worn underneath to slim the belly area. Also stick to strapless bras similar to what I am wearing here.

Black lace dress: Ladyee boutique similar here| Orange lace dress: Bloomingdales| Silver sandals: Stuart Weitzman similar here| Black pumps: Christian Louboutin similar here| Sunglasses: Illessteva and Prada| Ring: Misayo House| Lipstick: Colourpop| Watch: Michelle|

Heeled open toe sandals, peep toe or pointy toe pumps work perfectly with this outfit. I wanted a bit of sparkle in my jewelry so I wore this dinner ring is by jewelry retailer Misayo House. I would wear this outfit to a cocktail party, as a wedding guest or a night out.

Which of this looks is your favorite? Thank you for reading and leave a comment and share this post with someone who would like this.
