Hello,
How are you doing? Hope your week is going great? I am sharing two fashion posts on the blog with you this week. Today, I am infusing one of summer’s hottest trends “the knot detail” with one of my favorite type of clothing, the romper. This is what I call a fashion win-win. I live for rompers and I am sure my faithful readers know that by now, if you are visiting my blog for the first time, see here, here and here for the last three times I wore one.
Yeah people complain about how difficult it is to use the restroom in a Romper, my answer to them is this, pee before you wear your romper LOL and if you must use the restroom, close the doors and simply take off your romper (No one is watching after all, lol.) Rompers are comfy and an easy way to look fab without much fuss and you are guaranteed to standout in one.
Who is this Romper by?
My romper is by Club Monaco a Canadian brand that has stores here in the United States. They ship International to a lot of countries too. One of the reason I love shopping at this store is because of their high quality products. My jumper is also available in white.
How else would you style this?
I wish I could style my looks in different ways for each fashion post. It’s something I am working on for future posts. I would style this with gladiator sandals or any flat sandals for a casual look. I would stick to neutral colors for a day look and bright colors (red, yellow, green) for a night look.
Accessories
I love this romper, the back details alone is a conversation starter. I chose to wear it with a statement necklace to give it a big of vamp. This necklace by Banana Republic is stunning. My earrings are by Micha, an online jewelry store that carries classic and contemporary jewelry pieces at amazing price points.
Styling Tips
Here are my 3 simple rules when finding the right romper for your body type
-Never be afraid to go up a size. Fit is key and it should never be about the number on the label. This applies to clothing in general. I went up a size for this romper.
-My general rule, it should hit you somewhere in the middle of your thigh. Its usually most flattering for most body types here.
-When in doubt always go for rompers with a loose fit versus a form fitting one.
Thank you for reading and do stop by tomorrow, I’ll have another post up:-)
