Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am kicking off March with a new twist to my fashion posts. Let me know what you think by leaving a comment or suggestion. Today’s look features the Resa coat/dress by Yetunde Sarunmi and how I styled it as a dress. I styled it as a coat on Monday’s post.
Who/What am I wearing?
The Resa Coat/dress by Yetunde Sarunmi. This female brand based out of the United States makes contemporary and classic pieces using African print “Ankara.” Their products are of the highest standard (amazing craftsmanship) and for every item you purchase, a portion is given to an organization called African Daughter’s Foundation, I love that! Read more about the designer here. I love this jacket’s bold print and trust me when I say this jacket is worth buying, its a classic piece that you can be styled in many ways. Save 10% off this dress and more with code “TITI.” (Code expires March 31st, 2016)
Where would you wear this?
This look is perfect for a night out with your beau or girlfriends. I would wear it during the day too for a special event. The tulle slip creates the right amount of drama for an amazing twist to an already gorgeous piece.
My croc embossed purple Bella Bag is by luxury leather handbag brand F & W Style. Check them out for amazing leather accessories. My shoes are the classic Pigalle Christian Louboutin pumps in black. My gold and black stretch belt which I wore for waist definition, is by Bebe.
To get this look, slip on the petticoat under the dress, exposing the tulle part. You should invest in it because it is an inexpensive way to find new ways to wear dresses in your closet. It adds length and volume. It works best with knee or above the knee length dresses. Add volume to your hair with clip-in extensions, mine is by luxury hair retailer Jadorelocks save with code tpjadore.
