Ankara style

Hi and thanks for stopping by my blog. Hope you had a great weekend?  Ankara or still sometimes called Dutch wax print is one of my favorite fabrics! As an African, this fabric reminds me of home  ๐Ÿ™‚ I find myself mixing it up with other fabrics very often in the warmer months as part of my daily outfit choice or sometimes I incorporate it with my winter fashion. A  few years ago, wearing Ankara here in the United States would bring stares because people weren’t familiar with this fabric but fast-forward to now, its a different experience. People know more about it and it has been embraced by the fashion industry.

Today I am wearing this amazing outfit made by Studio One Afrique. They sell a variety of tailored ready-to-wear Ankara pieces and the best part is, they are at affordable prices. Oh did I mention they have stylish outfits for both male and females. Local to Atlanta but available to ship all over, check them out for your next Ankara outfit or check out their Instagram feed for their current collection. Mention Titi’s Passion and save 20% off any items in their store.

I wore the outfit as a set but also changed it up for a fabulous night look with the black corset. Have fun with it and mix and match with pieces in your closet. I decided on a simple bracelet from Rocksbox, strappy sandals and black fun clutch by Ladyee boutique. What do you think of my look?
